Question by : Why is Autoglass called Autoglass in Britain but Carglass in Holland?
Bearing in mind in Britain we say ‘car’ but it’s called Autoglass and in Holland the word for car is ‘auto’ but the company is called Carglass
I need to get out more I know!

I think Dutch people would have a tendency to pronounce “auto” in a Dutch way, otherwise. That would mess up the name. It’s kind of like the “Led”, in Led Zeppelin, to prevent people from saying “Leed” (lead).

Carglass is Solaglas in Dutch, right? In that case, Autoglass’ name started first, but their parent company changed their name to Solaglas AKA Carglass
